TaskhirÄt can be defined as the method of controlling Angels, Jinns, souls or various wild animals. This is also HarÄm and considered a form of sorcery. The Shaykh has also mentioned in Makasib that all the characteristics of magic and sorcery are present in TaskhirÄt. Although Shahid al-Awwal and Shahid al-Thani consider magic HarÄm because it does harm to others, they may have also considered that the fact the process of controlling angels and jinns causes them much sufferings.
